| Biblical Counseling: Personality Disorders EBC0422* “Personality disorder” is a psychological term used to refer to persons who are struggling with severe problems such as Bipolarism that are revealed in all areas of their personal functioning. This course will both respond to this label from a biblical perspective to provide more clarity and seek to address how we can begin to provide help to the people who are covered by this description. Many of those with these types of problems end up at our churches and they present some unique challenges in the application of Biblical truth to bring about change. 2 CEUs. |

| The Constitution of the United States: Its Effect on America in 1776 and Today EGE0717 Why is there so much disagreement today concerning the interpretation of our country’s constitution? How do people’s view of God, atheism, political liberalism or conservatism affect the structure of our society and the laws that govern our country? This unique course will discuss these issues and others by means of a video lecture series. Topics to be dealt with each week will include: “A Biblical View of History, Laws and Government,” “The Beliefs of our Founding Fathers,” “From Biblical Absolutes to Evolutionary Humanism” and “A Victory Plan for Restoring our Constitutional Heritage.” 1.5 CEUs. |

| Computer Application: Introduction to Excel EGE0722 Spreadsheets can do more than simply add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers for you; the spreadsheet is a tool that helps you manage data. This class is designed to give you a basic, hands-on understanding of the functionality of Excel, to show you a few essential tools, and then to explain some specific uses that you might find helpful for completing tasks and operations. | Biblical Counseling: Case Studies Practicum EBC0414* This course is designed as the final required course in the Lay Counselor Training Certificate program. As such, students should already have completed Counseling Methodology and Counseling to the Whole Person and should be near completion of the 15 CEU’s of courses required for the program. Counseling situations will be presented by the instructor and by the class with discussion on how to counsel those case studies. | Biblical Counseling: Dealing with Addictions EBC0407* “Addictions” is a word heard almost daily in our lives, and the range of people’s addictions seems to be endless. From a Biblical perspective “addictions” are idolatry. This course seeks to develop a more thoroughly Biblical approach to helping people struggle through these seemingly “all-consuming” struggles in their lives. | Today’s Youth Culture: The Effects of Materialism on Our Teen’s ECE0632# In today’s society, peer pressure, targeted marketing campaigns, and bad parenting have all been blamed for increasing materialism in teens. What happens when material possessions become more important than spiritual or ethical values. The goal of this course is to explore materialism from a Biblical perspective by reflecting on why teens buy things (is there a link between materialism and self esteem), the difference between greed and need, and how to put God before possessions. .5 CEU. |
